Gray Ghost

Yesterday was the annual gray ghost 5K run. Here we are before the race. Dad, Cameron, Jeff pushing Vincent, and I all ran. The race starts, then about 10 min later the parade starts. The runners run the first part of the race down the same path the parade will be going on so there are lots and lots of people sitting along the street cheering and commenting on the costumes. Most runners dress up for this race. The kids dressed up to watch the parade. We had our friends come with so there are a few kids in the picture you may not know.

Here is Dad and I. Dad couldn't see very well with the mask on his head, which helped me out since if I was in front of him he could just follow the red. The mask came off after we passed the line of people cheering the runners on. Then he no longer needed me in front of him so he passed me up. Eventually I caught up again and ended just about 1 min before him. This is the 4th year I've ran and the 1st time I came in before Dad. Chalk it up to the Marathon training I've been doing. Next year it'll be Jeff's turn to be behind me!!!

I don't have a picture of Jeff and Vincent but they looked very cute! Vincent was the first one of the family to cross the finish line, since Jeff was pushing him in the stroller and the stroller was ahead of Jeff. Good Job Vincent!!!!! Jeff may have pictures on his blog.

Now there comes Cameron and his costume. This was great! People loved to see him walking around and when he ran kids would chase him and yell for him to come over to them. It took many, many hours and many, many yards of crepe paper to make but in the end it was worth it! He even ran the whole 5k with only loosing an ear.
