Monday Night Football

This week one of my missionary comps flew in from SLC to join me at the Vikings vs. Bears game. He has been a Vikings Fan most his life and me being the Bears fan made this the perfect excuse, err... I mean chance to catch up on old times. In addition to Les we were also join by Birch. (I'm proud to say that I've taken Birch to both of the NFL games he has attended)

Before the Game started we had a chance to sit and watch Monday Night Countdown from the field. I was excited to be so close to two NFL Legends, Steve Young and Emmit Smith.

This was the start of the introduction where the Vikings run out. I was a little sad that all they did for the Bears was announce the team as a whole, then did a big Dog and Pony show for the Vikings. But what do you expect for a division rival game on MNF.

The game started with the Vikings kicking off to Devin Hester and I was so excited. He never ended up doing much on the kick off though. On the Vikings first possession Urlacher picked of the Vikings QB and almost ran it back for a TD. Which really had me yelling.

In the end the Bears lost by a touchdown but I still had a fun time at the game. I was thankful that Birch and Les joined me at the game and that Julie let me shell out the money to go.

I am now trying to talk Les into going to a Bears vs. Vikings game in Chicago next year. I think I have some work to do but I think I can talk him into.

I'm so glad Les could come hang out with you guys and go to the game. He said it was one of the coolest things he's been to in his life! Thanks for taking good care of him for me - while he was gone!
