Summer 2009

Here is a summary of our 2009 summer.

Jete Dance Studio Recital....Baylie, Bryndie and Cameron were in it this year.

Here they are doing their Daddy Daughter Dance.

Our friends, the Eldredges, from Utah came to visit....
We went to Como Zoo

We went to Minnehaha Falls.

Mindy, the kids, and I spent some time at Bebe Lake while Cameron and Les drove to Wisconsin to see a Phish concert.
Spent some time by the Mississippi River.

We drove up North to Goosberry Falls.....

Stoped at a light house in Two Harbors where Les decided to kick his feet up and while doing so his shoe went flying into Lake Superior. Cameron to the rescue...he got the shoe even with his daughters crying and telling him to stop. (They thought he was going to fall in!)

We then spent some time in Duluth. It was really foggy that day so we didn't get a great look at Lake Superior but at least we saw it. We ate at Grandma's in memory of my Marathon. We were there the Monday after Grandmas Marathon this year which I ran the previous year. Happy one year anniversary marathoner!

Grandma and Grandpa Holt came to visit.

The kids went swimming while we sat and watched....they are pretty funny to watch when they are all together.

We went to the Mall of America, rode some rides and ate at the Rainforest Cafe.

July 1sr we went with our friends, the Langstons, to watch fireworks...a little preview for the 4th.

Jolyn and Dylan came to visit....here are the sisters hanging out at mom's.

On July 4th we spent the day at Lake George with Tony's family. Swimming, boating, and a picnic....what a great way to spend the day.

Dinner with Jana, Tony and Kade.

We ended up at a parking ramp over looking some baseball fields to watch fireworks. They were great and we didn't have to deal with huge crowds. Then home to do our own fireworks....the kids actually liked these the best, maybe next year we will skip the big ones.

Jason came to visit before his big bike trip across Iowa. Sounded like it was fun....maybe it will be in my future. Here we are at mom and dad's just hanging out.

Again the kids are funny to sit and watch. The boys loved to pull each other in this wagon.

One day we rented Surry's and pedaled around Minnehaha Falls for Annettes cause....I have MS. Jana pedeled so hard that her pedal came off her bike! Sebastian Joe's for ice cream. My High school best friend even came with us...keep pedaling Nerissa!

Dad's Birthday!

The Wave Pool....my kids didn't like the wave pool part so we spent most the time on the slides (Baylie's favorite) and the kiddy pool.

Camping trip with the Langston's to Tettagouch State Park. Minnesota is a beautiful place to go camping. This was way up north, almost to Canada, along the Lake Superior shore.

We got home on monday, celebrated Kade's birthday and then on tuesday I left for girls camp! I love girls camp and we have a great group of girls in our ward.

I came home on Thurs from girls camp to celebrate Baylies 9th Birthday! Happy Birthday Baylie....we had an outside water carnival party but I can not find which computer or folder I have the pictures saved to....it was lots of fun.

Another trip to Como zoo.

I did run a couple half marathons and a 5k this summer....all of which were within my goal times and were fun enough that I am still running ;) Baylie is now training for her first 5k which will be in October.
